This sad song is about confirming with your partner that your together truly to the end, no matter what may happen. As we get old and fail physically and mentally, will they still be there for you?
With this song, I was experimenting with different song structures and progressions, playing with modal interchange. This song is also in 5/4 time, which is something I prefer to gravitate towards.
